(Organic and Inorganic forms – inorganic form proliferates)

  • Widespread use in foods,*
  • Gasoline *(II)
  • Toys*(III)
  • Cosmetics*(IV)
  • Pesticides
  • Paint
  • Clothing
  • Medicine

  • Effects infant development = neurotoxin
  • Cardiovascular disease
  • Stored in our own bones for up to 30 years
  • Autism*(V)

  • Competes with calcium, iron, and zinc by blocking absorption of these nutrients
  • Impaired metabolism of antioxidants = therefore more oxidative stress damage.

  • Vitamins!
    • B1, B6,
    • C
    • E
    • Garlic oil
    • Turmeric / curcumin
    • Quercetin :

    • Alpha Lipoic acid
    • Chelating compounds
      • (dimercaptosuccinic acid) DMSA chelation therapy
        • Also had reduced behavioral effects in autistic children!?!*(V)

(Extra) Lead has no function inside the human body – a Pollutant plain and simple – yet no safety threshold has ever been established…

Only certain things like candy and food additives have a maximum allowable threshold of lead.

*An EPA-certified lab in Berkeley, California tested around 400 samples of common foodstuffs and determined that many of them had disturbing amounts of lead – Environmental Law Foundation. Notice of violation of the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, Section 25249.6 of the California Health and Safety Code, for exposing consumers of apple juice, grape juice, packaged peaches, pears and fruit cocktail to lead. 2010. LINK.

*(II) leaded gasoline phased out in 1973 – but not entirely banned until 1996! Via U.A Clean Air Act.

*(III) lead in toys banned in 2008 – CPSIA: Consumer Protection Safety Improvement Act.

*(IV)out of 400 lipsticks tested – ALL OF THEM contained lead….2010 U.S. Food and Drug Administration, LINK.

*(V) Blaucok-Busch E, Amin OR, Dessoki HH, et al, ‘Efficacy of DMSA therapy in a sample of Arab children with autistic spectrum disorder. Maedica 2012. PubMed: LINK.

Cadmium (Cd)

  • Cigarettes (tobacco*)
  • Total environmental exposure:
    • Food (rice*)
    • Soil (in fertilizer)
    • Water
    • Polluted air
  • Ni-Cd batteries*(II)
  • Coffee!(results to be published)
  • PVC products
  • Burning municipal waste
  • Ore mining

  • Reproductive toxin (affects reproductive system)
  • Stored in body up to 30 years in – liver, kidney, vascular system.
  • Inhibit DNA repair

  • Disrupts and possibly alters mitochondrial function
  • Competes with essential nutrients, inhibits D3 absorption, increasing risk of cancer.

  • Spirulina
  • Other blue-green fresh water algae

*examples of ‘Superabsorptive crops’ – includes leafy vegetables.

*(II) Must dispose of properly.

Aluminum (Al)

  • Deodorant*
  • Vaccines*(II)
  • Building materials & consumer containers
  • Industry emissions = Toxifies entire environment
  • Higher than average foods:
    • Flours / breads
    • Spinach, raddish, lettuce
    • Sausages
    • Shellfish
    • Cocoa
    • Tea
    • Herbs and spices
    • Baking powder
  • Highly acidic foods when in contact with aluminum containers
  • Soy based infant formula

  • DNA damage
  • Rise in autistic spectrum-like symptoms

  • Absorbed through all parts of the body, makes its way across blood brain barrier = inflammation and neurological disorders (specially in children – who are at a higher risk because they are still developing)
  • Increase in likelihood of dialysis encephalopathy syndrome (dementia) and Alzheimer’s

  • The most difficult to chelate!
  • Malic acid
  • chorella

*Sappino AP, Buser R, Lsne L, et al. ‘Aluminum chloride promotes anchorage-independent growth in human mammary epithelial cells’. Journal of Applied Toxicology. 2012. Pubmed.

*(II) Hepatitis B vaccine (given at birth) contain 0.25 milligrams of aluminum…if given every vaccine recommended, the new born could receive up to 4.225 milligrams of aluminum within its’ first year. Even though an U.S. Food and Drug Administration study reports that aluminum in vaccines poses a low risk to infants in the journal Vaccine; ‘Vaccines, Blood & Biology’. 2012. **however the editor was a founder of the Mayo Clinic Research Group, who regularly consults with Vaccine producing companies

Copper (Cu)

  • Multivitamins*
  • red meats
  • Eggs
  • Bread
  • Shellfish <sea vegetable supplements for pets>
  • Nuts and seeds
  • Dried legumes
  • Dark green leafy veggies

  • Mental deficiencies
  • Psychological disorders
  • Inhibits estrogen metabolism.
  • Depression
  • Autistic spectrum-like symptoms

  • Blocks enzyme activity: impairing thyroid activity, liver and kidney function.
  • Competes with Zinc for absorption sites
  • Brain damage and death!
  • Especially dangerous when combine with other food additives like Aspartame

  • Sulfur containing foods:
  • Eggs
  • Garlic

*Flintstone Multivitamins deliver 2,000 micrograms – limit = 440 micrograms! Stop taking MultiV’s with more than 500 micrograms of copper

Tin (Sn)

UNTIL THEN – Stay Strong 🙂

Truth Behind ‘Organic’: Heavy Metal Toxins + 7 Tips For a Healthy Detox!

Most ‘USDA-certified organic foods’ are NOT tested for heavy metal toxins like:

  • Lead!
  • Cadmium!
  • Mercury!

= Simply implies the PROCESS by which food is grown.

Certified Organic foods can contain heavy metal toxins because these toxins are found:

  • In the AIR
  • In the SOIL
  • In the WATER
    • once these toxins enter the environment, it is near impossible to remove them.

How Do Heavy Metals Harm Us Anyway?

  • Disrupt chemical reactions / Blocks nutrient absorption
  • Interfere with immune defense and healing processes
  • Carcinogenic (cause cancer!)
  • Cause GENETIC changes that get passed on to your CHILDREN.
  • Imitate symptoms of other serious issues like: diabetes, cancer, heart disease, Alzheimer’s and dementia.

“What’s a ‘Detox’?”

-> Detoxification is a daily process.

-> Every cell has its own detox process.

-> Entire Organs dedicated to detoxification.

  • liver
  • Kidneys
  • Bladder

  • Lungs
  • Skin/Hair/Nails

CHELATION – removal

  • Administration of chelating agents to bind to metals so they can be more easily excreted.
  • The above process involves the Metals being pulled out of bones, organs etc. allowing them to get into the blood stream.
  • Thus, aggressive detoxification can cause acute toxicity.
  • See a Detox Professional if considering using chelating agents
  • Consider supporting your body’s natural detoxification processes with food (see below)

FOODS (that naturally chelate heavy metals)

  • Cilantro
  • Chlorella
  • Lemons
  • Garlic
  • Seafood (veggies)
  • Strawberries
  • Orange peel
  • Beets
  • Other Metals
  • Activated Charcoal

+ EXECISE / Sweating!!

“The idea that you have to get worse before you can get better is similar to the iron-pumping slogan no pain no gain” – (Mike Adams, ‘Food Forensics: the hidden toxins luring in your food and how you can avoid them for lifelong health.’2016.)

TIP #1

  1. IDENTIFY: Toxins in Food, Water, Medicine, Personal care, Cleaning and Garden products, etc…
  2. AVOID Toxins+ get them out of your house & reform behavior/purchasing habits.
  3. REPLACE – with better options (this takes a little looking)
  4. SUPPORT – your natural detoxification processes via diet (see tip#4) and exercise.

TIP #2

  • ‘Zerowater’ brand
  • ‘The Big Berkey’
  • ‘Zen Water’

+ Reverse Osmosis (removes ALL nutrients from water)

TIP #3

or – HEPA air filtration system

TIP #4

  • Eat naturally detoxifying foods
  • Eating some foods together allow immediate elimination
    • Seaweed (Dulse is best) and Sushi Tuna ( properties in the seaweed eliminated 60-90% of the mercury as they get digested together!)

TIP #5

  • Educate yourself as to which typical ‘Health Foods’ are high in heavy metals

*more info on this subject coming soon*

  • General rule – anything made in: China, India or Thailand – will be higher in heavy metal toxins.

TIP #6

  1. MUST be hot enough to make you sweat!
  2. MUST wash sweat off (or else toxins will be reabsorbed)

= All the benefits of exercise without all the muscle soreness!!!

TIP #7

  • Give yourself time to heal from within – your body knows what to do J
  • Reduce stress by using Mindfulness techniques **more info on this subject coming soon**
